We are proud to announce Joel Torres as the new Chief Executive Officer of PRAB, Inc.
A passionate and mission-driven leader, Joel brings extensive experience advancing initiatives that increase access to services, strengthen systems, and elevate the voices of underserved communities.
Joel joins PRAB with a proven track record in public service and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, he served as Project Coordinator for Essex County, New Jersey, where he led efforts to prevent opioid overdoses, enhance recovery infrastructure, and foster collaboration across government agencies to better support vulnerable populations.
Previously, Joel spent over a decade at Family Connections, starting in 2012 as the ADAPT Coalition Coordinator and rising to the role of Director of Programs. Under his leadership, the team’s budget grew from under $200,000 to $2.4 million, supporting inclusive public health initiatives that reached communities across Essex County.
Joel’s connection to PRAB’s mission is deeply personal, and his leadership is grounded in a lifelong dedication to creating opportunity and equity. As CEO, he will help guide our work to expand access to essential services for the more than 25,000 individuals and families we serve each year.
We’re excited to begin this new chapter under Joel’s leadership — one that promises deeper partnerships, greater impact, and continued progress toward our vision of a thriving community for all.
Please join us in welcoming Joel Torres to PRAB!
