Nakia Marshall Joins the PRAB Family as its Chief Program Officer

Since January 8, 2024, Nakia Marshall has served as the Chief Program Officer (CPO) of the Puerto Rican Action Board (PRAB), a $14M+ comprehensive human services organization that equips diverse individuals and families in Central New Jersey to achieve personal, family, and community development. Each year, PRAB provides early childhood, youth, family, housing and social services to over 25,000 individuals and families in over 11 sites across Central New Jersey. She leads a team of over 100 trained multicultural, multilingual, interdisciplinary, and socially conscious program staff members, and a 14-member program management team.

Nakia is a true powerhouse leader with an impressive track record of over 25 years in the field of child, youth, and family services. Her experience in the NYC child welfare sector is unparalleled, and she is known for delivering exceptional results with a strong focus on quality assurance. As a seasoned expert in Social Services Nakia brings a significant wealth of knowledge and skills to the table. Her passion for working in the social services/nonprofit sector runs deep, and she is wholeheartedly committed to improving the lives of others, drawing from her extensive background in nonprofit leadership.

Throughout her career, Nakia has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients and organizations across various sectors, including Child Welfare, Early Childhood Development, Family Services and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She is highly recognized for her professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and out-of-the-box creativity.

Nakia’s contributions have consistently made a significant impact and garnered respect from peers and colleagues alike. But her accomplishments go far beyond her work in child, youth, and family services! She is also a thriving Life Coach, dedicated to empowering both teens and adults to unlock their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.

With educational qualifications that include a master’s degree in public administration from Metropolitan College of NY and a Post Master’s Certification in Executive Nonprofit Leadership from NYU, Nakia remains at the forefront of the industry, constantly staying updated on the latest trends and advancements.
