New Brunswick youth, ages 10-16, spend five (5) weeks are mentored by professional teaching artists in a community-based setting during the summer months. Students transform their lives, their attitudes about themselves and their community, and develop skills that equip them for a successful education and a healthy future. Through the artwork that students participate in, they learn to communicate and have positive relations with their family and others
Some services provided by AMARD&V include:
- Visual art, theater, photography, dance studios
- Life skills workshops on conflict resolution, team building, and educational and work-readiness
- Arts Showcase (at end of the program)
