PRAB Celebrates 40 Years of Impacting Lives!

PRAB is celebrating 40 years of impacting lives. Thanks to the efforts of a small group of Puerto Rican volunteers that started with the idea of providing ESL classes and a GED program in 1969, PRAB became an incorporated organization in 1971. Because of their initiative PRAB turned 40 years old on October 8, 2011. To celebrate, PRAB’s Board of Trustees is honoring this amazing achievement with two events in the months of May and June 2012.

The first event will be a Community Block Party. This event will provide the opportunity for PRAB to express its gratitude to the community that has supported the organization for more than 40 years. Also, it affords our clients, neighbors, and local businesses to join us in celebrating 40 years of existence on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 90 Jersey Avenue. For this event, all of PRAB’s service areas will be showcasing what and how PRAB impact people’s lives.

Our second event is a Gala where PRAB will be recognizing the volunteers that had this vision over 40 years ago, and our community and funding partners that continue to support this amazing organization. The Gala will be held on June 7, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick. Ticket information will be posted shortly. For sponsorship information, please download our information packet.

Through this celebration, PRAB seeks to recognize key collaborators, and raise funds to make the front entrance handicap accessible, and support the operations of our programs.
