Middlesex County Freeholder Deputy Director Blanquita Valenti commented, “This study is vital to our area and other providers throughout the county. We must first understand the crucial issues surrounding our community so that we can plan how to best direct scarce resources.”

PRAB Executive Director Mario Vargas said, “The 2012 Middlesex County Needs Assessment is a comprehensive study. It enables us to structure our strategy for human and social services in our area, particularly the needs of low-income children and family, throughout the next several years.” Vargas continued, “There is no question that we have a big job ahead of us—but it’s certainly doable when we work together. We are proud to offer this assessment for all providers to use in serving our residents. We are thankful to our partners on this project, including the Middlesex County Human Services Advisory Council, the United Way of Central New Jersey and the Department of Community Affairs.”
